Addiction
Well, Mo’s gone off for almost 2 weeks. I hate all this stuff. But at least I’ll have more time to do things. I’ve got to get back to doing his school’s site, it fell by the wayside a few weeks ago so I could do the site for Grandma B’s birthday and then I felt a major desire to redo AC’s main page (which I think you’ll agree is coming along nicely… maybe a bit more touching things up in photoshop, but…)
Other than that… I’ve got to do a 7 days without technology piece for Click. This is a good story and a perfect example of the state of television today. I thought of the idea ages ago- I *do* think it’d be v interesting to see if I *could* go without it for a week… then I did an interview with an addictions counselor about computer addiction… Simon the producer (who rules) thought I should do the 7 days without tech piece to follow on the next week. OK. Cool… but I can only get a crew for half a day! Hahaha. 7 days without tech in and afternoon… so I’m subsidising the BBC by filming it as a video diary w my own camera. And just got a bill for my tv licence renewal this morning. Ladida. And will I be paid for any more than a half day? No. Will I be paid for the use of my camera? No. Will I be able to live for 7 days without tech??? You’ll have to watch it to find out! (but the answer will more than likely be ‘no’, I’m too much of a geek!) I think it’ll be broadcast on the 5th of Sept (and the next day on news 24 in the uK)…
I’m taking the opportunity while Mo’s away to get rid of a bunch of his toys! There’s so much rubbish in his toyboxes… And I got some nice boxes with covers on them from Muji to replace the crappy green plastic ones he was using… so back to doing that, I suppose….
NOTE: I have kept most of my earliest blog posts private. They are mainly crap. I have, however, tried to make live at least one from each month.
