New Year
Well, well, well… Christmas in Manchester was lovely- mainly because Brian and I did absolutely nothing for about a week except watch DVDs, drink wine and eat! It was so wonderfully relaxing… though Brian *was* terribly bored and wanted to go out and… well, I don’t know, have some beer in a pub or something… (anyone who knows me knows that, as far as I’m concerned, pubs=zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz )
We had a lovely New Year’s Eve at Brian’s boss’s house- ate a lovely dinner, drank some wonderful wine and talked. One of the guests was an ex-Iraqi soldier. How timely. Another was a novelist. How charming.
But now we’re back in the real world and everything’s ticking along. I’m still looking for some regular work- something that actually *pays* me. I’m kind of bloody sick and tired of supplementing the BBC or other broadcasters or companies by having to accept insultingly low wages which, after tax and childcare leaves me with something impossible to live on.
But hey….whatever…
NOTE: I have kept most of my earliest blog posts private. They are mainly crap. I have, however, tried to make live at least one from each month.
