My new job is going to be filming 4 days a week for 8 weeks… in Norfolk. Fine. Except, of course, as you know, I’m a single mother and Mo starts his brand new school 6 days before my first filming day. His dad is currently available to stay for the last 5 weeks of my filming. The first week he’ll be around but finishing the last week of his current job (so probably very late nights in the edit), then the 2nd and 3rd week of my filming he’s got loads of things he’s got to do and can’t look after Mo (I *could* insert a comment here about how I, also, have things to do on a regular basis which would be far easier to do if I didn’t have a kid to worry about, but am forced to fit my life around taking care of my [OUR] child and waste valuable head space with the constant juggling…. but then I might come across as bitter…)… I’ve asked my mother if she can get some holiday time from work so I can buy her a ticket to come over and look after Mo for 2 weeks (it’ll be cheaper than paying a nanny 24 hours a day for 4 days a week)…

I’ve also been pulling in favours from parents to look after Mo next week when I have to go film the pilot…

But, apart from arranging for someone to pick Mo up from school during the first week of filming and actually buying my mother’s ticket, everything is finally sorted.
