A most amazing sight! I wish I could have seen it in person. I don’t suppose it’s likely to turn up in Edinburgh, I’ll be there in a few weeks?

I’m not sure, RJ… It was rather more remarkable than I was expecting it to be. Everyone in London became a kid again…

Have a great time in Edinburgh and let me know if you’re heading south of the border… It’d be lovely to meet you!

I must admit that I didn’t know a thing about this until a friend asked me on Thursday if I was going to see it. Even a wet Saturday didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of seeing such a spectacular sight.

I was strangely impressed with the way that at the spaceship’s crashsite, the road was dug up to make it appear as though something really had landed there.

  4. giagia says:

Where was the spaceship’s crashsite??! I really wanted to see it, but had no idea where it was!

It really was very amazing, indeed…

  5. Adam Bowie says:

It was in Waterloo Place, at the bottom of Lower Regent Street. My friend had seen it on Friday and said it looked very impressive, but by Saturday it was just a hole in the ground.

The rocket-ship that was on Horse Guard’s parade was different to the one that had landed.

There’s a programme about the Sultan’s Elephant on BBC Four next week – Thursday at 7.10pm, with lots of repeats to follow no doubt.

Good. I want to see that… It really was one of those amazing London events that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives…

    Hi Gia *_*

Nice new home you have here….it looks great. Just wanted to yell a huge “Hello” at you, it’s been a while since i’ve checked in. Lots going on and I just haven’t been on the web too much.
Anyway..sounds like life is going well for you. I’m very happy to hear that!
That elephant looks incredible! I’m not exactly sure what it is…i’ll have to google it, but…wow!
Take care, stay happy and i’ll be back soon.

Hey Darcy!! Nice to see you!

I completely understand about life getting in the way of blogging… whew…

And thanks for the kind words about Sunshine… I’m going to be doing it until March 2007 now… (0.0)

    Hi Gia!

    Welcome back to London :)

I managed to capture most of the event, I put a edited down set of pictures over a flickr. Hope you enjoy them!

Mark, you are bloody brilliant! Thanks for that!

  12. R.J. says:

Gia – sadly my itinerary allows me no further south than Liverpool. Otherwise, it would have been a joy to let you take me out to dinner!

  13. This is fantastic. My brother from London sent me a DVD of this event and I have been busily telling people here in Sydney. It is diffic ult to describe in words. More pictures if the Sultans Elephant Jules Verne” production here. Well done to Theatre De Lux and to London. Wish I had seen this for myself!
