Hallam Foe

I, along with Hugh, Euan, Annie, Tom, Lloyd, Suw and Kevin, Adriana and about 30 others, saw a very early cut of David Mackenzie’s film, Hallam Foe, tonight.

One word:

Brilliant.

I will pay to see this film AND buy it on DVD… and I’m not just pimping for Hugh here. ;) It was genuinely excellent.

I’m not going to tell the story or review it now (it’s 1am and I’m converting MP4s into MOVs in bed…ugh), but this is a film that you will most certainly hear more about in the coming months.

Go read the film’s blog and have a look at what the other bloggers are saying about it… Hey, even Tom said he loved the film despite the fact that it didn’t have explosions and spaceships… :) …so, you know it’s got to be good.

Oh… damn… sorry, Lee. You may be poor, but you have a video camera in your pocket. What’s more important really?

So very lovely to see you, Annie. It *was* a brilliant film indeed.

I was eyeing up your lovely red camera too – very nice and well done for blogging when you got home. I agree its a beautiful film and one I will watch again and again. I loved it and have been thinking about it all day. I think I have a crush on Jamie Bell:)

Hi can any of you guys help?
Sophia Myles is wearing our Nightgown in the underwater scene shot at Pinewood. I also know that a dress of ours is in the film too I belieive worn also by Sophia Myles. The film sounds like its going to be great. I was wondering how I might go about getting some stills of the scenes which these here garments appear. Please call our shop Alice & Astrid in Notting Hill 020 7985 0888.
    All the best
    Simon

any idea of the release date?

  7. giagia says:

Simon, have you left a message for Colin at the Hallam Foe blog? I don’t have anything to do with the film itself, he does… Good luck!

  8. Simon, you can email me at colin@hallamfoe.co.uk and I’ll gladly point you in the right direction for publicity stills.

  • Observer Article -

Honestly, this isn't a blog just about Brian. That would be really weird... but... indulge me just a bit longer.

Some of you may have seen the article about Brian in the Observer today. Now, you guys are intelligent and realise that not everything you read in a newspaper is accurate. This was made absolutely clear to me this morning as I was sitting in my bathrobe, hair all over the place, barefoot, all coffee breath, unshowered and read, "he married his American wife, glamorous TV presenter Gia Milinovich, in secret." :-/

    Ah well...
