Checking It Twice

It’s coming up to that time again. As a self-confessed window shopping addict I’ve got a pretty good idea of the kinds of cool pressies out there. For those of you who hate shopping, I’ve created a little list of some of the best things I’ve seen, so that you can simply click and purchase. I am not affiliated with any of these online shops nor am I getting any kind of cut of the purchase. I’ve done this for you, good people.

The best geek scarves in the world! (I’ll have one, please)

Chalkboard Mug – £4.99 Write a new message every day.

Paper FX- £19.99 Perfect for little girls 7+ (and me). A creative way to recycle paper.

USB Turntable – £119.95 (currently out of stock) Digitise your vinyl.

USB Drum Kit- £129.95 For all wannabe Keith Moons.

George Best £5- Er. £5, plus postage.

Bags of Love- Get your favourite photos printed on mugs, books, calendars, bags, jigsaws, blankets, wallpaper, roller blinds. Free delivery on canvas prints if you order in November.

David Shrigley tea towel- £20 One of my very favourite artists who also happens to be doing the titles for Hallam Foe.

What cool things have you found?

Hey Gia! This is Chero from your Sunshine blog.

Your blog post here is so relevant to what I wanted to ask of you! I first want to apologize if you don’t want any Sunshine fans to bombard your blog with annoying requests. I tend to get very anxious around Christmas time and I want to know if they’ll be any memorabilia from the set, etc that would be available for purchase in the upcoming weeks (even right at this moment). I saw someone else’s blog a few weeks ago and he said that he purchased a cap which was given out as a Christmas present to the crew of Sunshine. I asked him about it and he told me that he only found it randomly on eBay. Will there be any more up for sale? If not, will any posters, t-shirts, etc be available before Christmas? I really want my Christmas to be filled with “Sunshine” so to speak.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. I’ll promise not to post anymore if this offends you.

  7. giagia says:

    Hey Chero! Post away!

I remember when Soulmining got the cap on ebay. I suspect the cap was sold by one of the crew members. As far as memorabilia etc is concerned, I’ve not heard of anything for Christmas. There may well be memorabilia at some point, but I honestly don’t know if it would come out before Christmas…

  8. Lin says:

Alright, I’ll just keeping searching then. Thanks again!

Hawkin’s Bazaar is one of the greatest shops, liek, for defo! and David Shrigley is Very Cool. Thanks for posting these links :)

  10. I’ve started to complie a list of the different addictions I have been reading about lately. Let’s see, we have the following addictions: drugs, alcohol, sex, porn, oil, gambling, food, love, video games, comment addiction (i.e., checking the comments on one’s blog), and now window shopping addiction. The list just grows and expands almost daily. Gia, if you can limit your addictions to window shopping, I think you will turn out just fine :-)
By the way, nice pics at Gia’s Photos.

  • Observer Article -

Honestly, this isn't a blog just about Brian. That would be really weird... but... indulge me just a bit longer.

Some of you may have seen the article about Brian in the Observer today. Now, you guys are intelligent and realise that not everything you read in a newspaper is accurate. This was made absolutely clear to me this morning as I was sitting in my bathrobe, hair all over the place, barefoot, all coffee breath, unshowered and read, "he married his American wife, glamorous TV presenter Gia Milinovich, in secret." :-/

    Ah well...
