Rome

I’ve been in Rome for the weekend. I missed Brian, Andrew Macdonald and me on the Cinema Show on BBCFour – maybe Vinnie can do some screen grabs… though I will hopefully see it soon. I’m glad they used the lesbian dominatrix line… though I’ll probably be called a gay-basher for that now, too :-/. I mean, a 1950s sci-fi movie, the alien woman in question is wearing some micro-mini dress and a cape made out of PVC, androgynous haircut, Bowie-eque make-up… I say she looked like a lesbian dominatrix (which in the 50s was as good as being from another planet) and I bet you there will be someone out there who will claim that I am making assumptions based on stereotypes and what someone wears doesn’t make them a lesbian OR a dominatrix for that matter and how dare I say that if I’m trying to have a career in the media and question my understanding of irony and blahblahblah

Oh, I don’t really have the energy for it. Get over yourselves.

I’m going to bed. To get some rest. To hopefully go see the Divine David tomorrow night.

**edit** The Cinema Show is repeated tomorrow night at midnight on Beeb4…**

My advice is that Sky Plus boxes are utter crap, just like everything else Pace have ever made, will ever make, or could ever make; if you want a *good* PVR you have to buy the box yourself, faff around getting a CAM, etc. Sorry Vince :-(

    Essex, Frost or Cassidy?

  4. giagia says:

None of those ones. *THE* Divine David…silly.

  • Observer Article -

Honestly, this isn't a blog just about Brian. That would be really weird... but... indulge me just a bit longer.

Some of you may have seen the article about Brian in the Observer today. Now, you guys are intelligent and realise that not everything you read in a newspaper is accurate. This was made absolutely clear to me this morning as I was sitting in my bathrobe, hair all over the place, barefoot, all coffee breath, unshowered and read, "he married his American wife, glamorous TV presenter Gia Milinovich, in secret." :-/

    Ah well...
