BBC Goatse

Many of you will have seen this by now. I just have to say: tv 0, internets 1

The person who drew it came from here, natch.

Hey Gia, doesn’t Brian work on D0??

There is a rumor they FOUND the HIGGS BOSON!!!

    Here is the link: http://dorigo.wordpress.com/2007/05/28/i-want-to-know-about-the-multi-b-excess-too/.

    Is it TRUE??????

Was what I meant to post. Though that other one I think is a far better idea and didn’t cost the taxpayer 400 grand. On the other hand however, it is nice to see the squiggles off the Saved by the Bell titles finding work these days.

Penny, I asked Brian about it and sent him the link you gave… He said:

I agree with Dorigo – It’s too heavy at 170 GeV to be a Standard Model Higgs decaying to b bbar – could be a Supersymmetric Higgs at high tan beta. It’s an old rumour I think – this has been going around for months. If it’s true, it’s very good news for FP420 by the way :) But it’s probably not true ….

FP420 is the experiment Brian’s heading at CERN.

That’s quite a feat – from goatse to Quantum physics in one single step! :)

  5. giagia says:

Hmmm… I wonder if the Standard Model can explain Goatse…?

Well, I’m relieved that ‘Slate’ was wrong in its doomsday prophesy that the death of particle physics is at hand!

Particle physics isn’t dead–it’s alive and well…just a little *gassy* (or at least in IL it is ;)).

I had wondered why Sean on CV hadn’t said anything. Now I know. Tell Brian thanks for me!

London’s Olympics logo is horrible, BTW–looks like somebody broke it.

Ok, don’t know where to post this but feel I must. This is the coolest website (besides yours ;)) EVER: http://www.earthmove.info/.

Found it out from the BA’s blog. HILARIOUS!

Where else could you find this stuff out but the internet?

    Internet: 2, TV: 0.
