A Charlie Brown Christmas

Like probably every single American my age, ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas‘ was not only the best Peanuts show, but the best Christmas show as well. And that’s saying something when there was also Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer on every year as well.

Well, just this morning Brian phoned whilst he was out looking for a Christmas tree. We left it all a bit late so there were only a few left. He said the only big ones left were pretty pathetic-looking. I said, ‘You’ve got to get the most pathetic one!’ Then started to tell him about ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ and started to cry.

He took a photo of the two ‘rubbish’ trees and asked which one I preferred. Though neither of them look *too* bad to me, I chose the one on the left. He said that was the one he left most sorry for. :)

For you Brits who haven’t experienced the absolute joy and pleasure of ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’, here you go:

Thanks Gia – ah, sweet memories… (They broadcast it over here when I was v. young, but haven’t seen it for years!)

It’s still the greatest Christmas show here! I watch it every year.

Well, the tress is up, but not decorated yet. Whilst it’s not that bad at all, the trunk is certainly nowhere near being straight. It was quite difficult to get it looking like it’s standing up straight…

    I’ll get a photo later.
