More Brian On Horizon

Finally, the BBC agreed to allow more clips to be released online. Which is nice of them. Considering that Brian’s programme *isn’t* going to get any advertising or marketing at all from the BBC. They choose about three Horizons in a year to publicise… hmmmm…

Anyway, these are pretty funny.

One thing to know about Brian is that he’s afraid of spiders and creepy crawlies. What a wuss.

On the way to the GPS Headquarters.

Here Brian gets angry with director Paul Olding whilst trying to explain gravity waves.

Brian refuses to even mention that some people think the Moon landings were faked.

    hahahaha!
    Paul – “I can’t see that as a wave”
    Brian – “Tough”
    :D

That really needs to be in the show.

Ha! It’s not. I think all this stuff was originally in it, but then the higher-ups wanted it out. Most of it has been removed… but Paul and Brian liked it so much that the BBC gave them permission to put stuff up online. It’s normally against their rules.

Shame. But I’m glad they allowed it to be released into the wild. The Beeb are really missing a trick with not doing this more often. It’s free promotion for a show. It allows the more avid viewer access to stuff traditionally only got on the Extras section of a DVD. And (as we were discussing on /links last night) if they are “playing it safe” with the main content of the show, the geekier parts can be accessed later by those who are interested. It would work with other genre’s and topics too.

I know that they’ve toyed with this type of thing using “your red button”, but putting it online promotes more discourse on the subject.

    “Dear Aunty Beeb….”
