Re: Jodrell. Yes. The STFC seem to be complete and utter dumbasses. (Purely my own opinion, that.) They are doing an incredibly good job at shooting themselves in the foot over and over again.

And good point on your blog post – if the govt would just admit their ID card scheme is a crock, there’s a whole host of things that could use that money which would benefit the UK far, far, FAR more than the slight possibility of… well, *what* are ID cards supposed to do for us exactly?!

There was an article in the local rag yesterday, (and the Times this morning) about closures at Jodrell. Have you guys heard any more on this?

It’s even got me to dust off the keyboard, and to blogging .
