		<description>Actually, a *lot* of people tell him that! Loads of people send him emails telling him that they were inspired to study science at university after seeing him talk. That always makes him really happy. 

When I first met him I was already a &#039;science groupie&#039; - I think I was reading a biography of Richard Feynman when I first met him! But what struck me about Brian was how emotionally connected with &#039;science&#039; he was. He talks about his work (as do all of his physics colleagues) with the kind of passion and excitement one normally associates with artists or musicians... What Brian is particularly good at, though, is conveying those feelings to people who have little-to-no previous scientific knowledge.

He&#039;s also really good at not making you feel stupid. I never feel like I&#039;ve asked a really stupid question... in fact, one of my questions has prompted him to write a book with one of his colleagues to explain it! He&#039;s got a book deal and everything! *^_^*</description>
