Study Group- Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore

This week in our independent study group we watched Mark Leckey’s Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore.

I saw Mark Leckey’s show at the Tate Britain a few years ago https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-britain/mark-leckey where Fiorucci was shown along with several other works of his. I’I’d only ever seen it on YouTube before, so it was nice to see it in a proper space.

I love the use of found video and audio – for me that’s my main interest in this film. The youth culture/clubbing stuff is interesting, but taking a step back, I just love how the footage and audio fit together. I must say, it was SOOOOOO much better when I saw it at the Tate on a big screen, with great sound.
